Welcome
In March of 2012, an Etsy shop owner, Elise from Black Ant Beads, had an idea to
get some Etsy artisians together to support local charities. Her idea sparked
an interest for many other Etsy shop owners that wanted to give back to their
communities.
As part of the brain storming
process, the idea of a virtual craft fair came up as a way to raise much needed
funds to support these different organizations.
The participating Etsy shops included in this virtual craft fair have agreed to
donate a portion of their sales to support the designated charity of the month.
Some store owners are choosing to donate 10% of all their sales on designated
items while others will donate 100% of proceeds of selected items to the charity
depending on the shop owner's preferences.
